The company’s Cheese Ripened in Iberian Lard won the Silver Medal in the category of sheep cheeses with additives
Quesos De La Huz entered its cheese in lard into the latest edition of the World Cheese Awards, held in Birmingham in late November 2013. This contest, considered the world championship of cheese, received 2,700 entries from 30 different countries.
This year’s panel of judges charged with selecting the best cheese in the world was made up of 255 expert tasters of many different nationalities.
The De La Huz Sheep Cheese Ripened in Iberian Lard, which won the Silver Medal in the category of pure sheep cheese with additives, is an excellent cheese made with pasteurized sheep milk.
With this most recent award, Quesos De La Huz had further added to the already numerous national and international awards received by its Don Cayo Manchego cheese.
